When I could not find the space to say what I thought, I created my own.

I have struggled with the question of my identity my entire life. I attempted to find self-worth in material things or standards the world put on me. This fed my insecurities and gnawed at me constantly when I did not live up to someone else’s standards or compared myself to others. Race, ethnicity, social status, wealth, political party, and every other box this world has to offer could not fill the void I felt. I had to choose to root my identity in something deeper.

Racism in America is not new, but in 2020 it was news. In an effort to help close the wealth gap that exists between the Black population and the majority of the country, I created the Black Business Fund. The money raised goes towards helping Black entrepreneurs and Black-owned businesses.
